These Terms and Conditions apply to contracts concluded between Sprachschule Sprachtraum and third parties (hereinafter referred to as “client” and/or “student”) regarding the provision of language teaching services.

Registration and Payment

Course registration can be made online at www.sprachtraum.at, by email at info@sprachtraum.at, or in person. Each registration constitutes a binding contract and obliges the client to pay the course fee.

The course fee must be paid immediately after registration.

Course places are allocated in order of payment received. Participation is only possible after payment has been made. Registration is confirmed by email.

Due to the small business regulation under § 6 (1) item 27 of the Austrian VAT Act (UStG 1994), course fees are exempt from VAT.

Partial payments are only possible before the start of the course. Unless otherwise agreed, accommodation and catering costs are not included.

Course Location

Courses take place at various locations, which are specified in the course description.

At the client’s request, lessons may be held at an alternative location, provided that the required infrastructure is supplied.

Teaching Unit

One teaching unit (UE) lasts 45 minutes.

Materials

Scripts and learning materials are included in the course fee unless otherwise stated and are distributed at the beginning of the course. Materials may not be copied, distributed, or made publicly available.

Photo, Video and Audio Recordings

Recording of lessons, materials, or participants is strictly prohibited.

Certificate of Attendance

Certificates of attendance are issued if at least 75% of the course has been attended.

Changes / Cancellations

If the minimum number of participants is not reached, a course may be postponed or cancelled. In case of cancellation, already paid fees will be fully refunded.

In case of illness or unavailability of the instructor, lessons may be rescheduled, replaced by another instructor, or made up at a later date. No further claims shall arise.

Right of Withdrawal

For distance contracts, clients have a 14-day right of withdrawal without giving any reason. This right does not apply if the course begins within this period.

Withdrawal must be made in writing via email or letter.

The right of withdrawal expires once the first lesson has started.

Effects of Withdrawal

If the contract is withdrawn, all payments will be refunded within 14 days.

Cancellation Policy

Outside the statutory withdrawal period, the following cancellation fees apply:

up to 3 weeks before course start: free of charge
up to 7 days before course start: 50% of the course fee
less than 7 days before course start: 100% of the course fee

Cancellations must be made in writing and are only valid once confirmed.

Missed lessons will not be refunded or rescheduled.

Individual Training

The agreed time period for individual training is binding. Any unused lessons expire after the agreed period.

Appointments may be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance; otherwise they will be charged.

Data Protection

By registering, the client agrees to data processing in accordance with the privacy policy. Data is used solely for contract fulfilment and will not be shared with third parties, except the tax advisor.

Participants may exchange contact details within their course group.

Liability

The language school assumes no liability for personal belongings or for learning success.

COVID-19

Legal hygiene regulations apply. In case of official restrictions, courses may be held online. No refunds shall be granted.

Jurisdiction and Governing Law

The place of jurisdiction is Zell am See. Austrian law applies.
